Match Day Tips
The Match Flow A polo match is divided into periods called chukkers. Between chukkers, players change horses, giving you time to stretch your legs, refresh your drink, and enjoy the social gathering.
The Champagne Divot Stomp At halftime, guests are invited onto the field to help replace turf divots and enjoy a glass of champagne. It’s a long-standing polo tradition and a great photo moment.
Pro Tip: Arrive early to set up your picnic or tailgate spot and enjoy the full afternoon atmosphere at the Hickory Top Polo Classic.
